Caustic Soda:

Caustic soda has been used in household for cleaning for centuries now. Just similarly to the above steps, you need to do the soaking in hot water first. Then take a good amount of caustic soda and sprinkle it over the filters.

Leave it on for around five minutes and then start pouring hot water over the filter. Make sure you are careful while carrying out the process and have maintained a distance from the container as fumes will be released and they may harm you.

Now let it sit in the hot water for three hours. Then wash the filters with clean water and let it air dry.

This method is especially recommended for cases where the filters have not been cleaned for a really long time or are extremely dirty and oily.

How to clean an electric chimney

To clean an electric chimney you need a good dishwashing detergent and vinegar in equal parts.

First of all, take the detergent and mix it up with vinegar and pour it into a spray bottle. Now spray the mixture over the chimney's hood as well as the filters. Leave it on for five minutes and then start rubbing with a damp cloth.

Always use a detergent that is gentle, now rinse the filter with hot water and let it dry.

How to clean mesh and baffle filters
